Horse & Groom
(From Friday 16th April)
Weds - Sat: 12-3pm and 6-11pm
Food served 12-2pm and 7-9 pm
We will reopen the pub (outside only) on Friday 16th April at 6pm.
Despite our best efforts the renovations are not yet complete, and we will be unable to open on the lunchtime of Friday 16th, as we'll have workmen on site on that day.
Please note that we are fully booked for the evenings of Friday 16th and Saturday 17th, but we do have spaces for Saturday and Sunday lunch.
We will still be offering our takeaway service until all restrictions are lifted. As such, we will continue to ask for pre-orders from people who will be dining in, so that we can adequately plan and book takeaways. Jerome is amazing, but cooking for dine-in and takeaway is a very delicate balance and we don't want people to be waiting for excessive periods of time for their food.
As per the new guidance, we now have to ask every member of your party to either check in with the NHS app or provide their name and telephone number. We appreciate your compliance with this.
Finally, please dress appropriately. It is April and we don't have heating in our covered outdoor seating area. We will have plenty of blankets available if you need them.
We're very excited to have people coming back to the pub and we look forward to welcoming you very soon.
Jerome and Stacey
Please note that we do not allow dogs inside the pub. They are more than welcome in the garden.
North Oxfordshire Pub of the Year 2019
Meet Jerome and Stacey Prigent
Welcome to our pub! We hope you enjoy your visit.
Our pub is warm and cosy with a welcoming open fire in the winter. Located in the peaceful heart of North Oxfordshire and within easy reach of the M40 and A34, Woodstock and Oxford. The charming 16th century coaching house sits on the edge of the hamlet of Caulcott, near Bicester. Owned since 2006 by Jerome, it has encouraged him to show his love and passion for food. You have to visit to believe it!
Jerome's menus change regularly, based on the season and availability of fresh produce. Stacey looks after the front of house as well as organising the annual Bastille Day beer festival and any other events for the Horse & Groom. If you have never been to a Horse & Groom beer festival then you are definitely missing out!
